Next week, May 24th at 7pm, my guest on Jupiter's Girl at www.outoftimeradio.com will be astrologer Diane Gaye. She is a wonderful astrologer, and a colorful human being. I just love her energy.

An upcoming guest that I wish to promote is Cayelin of www.shamanicastrology.com. Her web-site has the most detailed, concise celestial timings of anybody's I have ever seen. If you want to harness the energies of the moment, her writing will give you big clues of how to do that. She will be a guest on Jupiter's Girl, www.outoftimeradio.com, June 7th.

This is an important year according to a couple of astrologers I have spoken with recently. Planetary line-ups and aspects are monumental and significant. I am NOT of the mindset that we are at the end of time on Earth. That idea engenders glee in others who think that they are the Chosen Ones, so therefore it is death and destruction to everybody else. Some people love spreading bad news.

James Braha, of www.jamesbraha.com, was my guest on Jupiter's Girl two nights ago. You can hear that interview for the next two weeks before it will be replaced by another show. The web-site keeps a current show up there until the next live one and then it keeps the previous week's up there too. Eventually, it will all be accessible in their archives. James spoke of non-dualistic thinking - presence awareness (power of NOW). He has written the book "Living Reality" which is a comfort to us seekers struggling for understanding. Give up the seeking. No more purifying, meditation, or striving to get "it". His web-site has excerpts and Q&A from his book. Check it out.

Have a blessed day.

Jazz Fest 2006

Jokemail has an entry on his blog with the caption "one is never too old." I agree.

This morning in Mandeville

Yesterday was a windy day. I heard creaks and cracks all day and woke up to this broken cypress tree in my backyard. You can't even see the tree debris now in my backyard for how green everything around the downed trees is. We also had a feeling of deja vu' as I had to get out my camping stove to make a cup of tea. Two trees were on power lines on my street, therefore we were without electricity most of the afternoon and into the evening. At least it was a cool day yesterday with that wind blowing. After Hurricane Katrina's demolition - we were without power and I swear it must have been about 125 degrees with relative humidity. It was too hot to move. Or speak. Words were at a minimum. So were thoughts, actually. If it hadn't been for kind outsiders coming to town - doling out ice, water, and MRE's, putting up our power lines again, and all the other things they came into to town to help with - we'd have melted into the landscape.

I am thoughtful and deliberate before speaking.

That is an affirmation that I was given by another astrologer about 5 years ago when I told him that Mercury squares my Midheaven. In the astro-world that means I may sometimes say the wrong thing at the wrong time and to the wrong people - very much like putting my foot in my mouth. I don't get that saying. At least with a foot in my mouth, the words wouldn't hit their mark.

The reason I will be repeating that to myself today is because of my debut as a radio personality on Internet radio tonight at 7pm central time. www.outoftimeradio.com - Jupiter's Girl, of course.

Uranus rules the airwaves and he is hovering on my Mercury - which is the planet of communication in a person's chart. My Mercury is in Pisces - which seems a very appropriate placement for communicating with the masses. This station is currently #4 in it's category - net radio. They have plans to increase their visitor numbers by the end of the year, which means it can be accessed 24/7, in perpetuity.

That's where anxiety sets in. Words cannot be taken back. Uranus is spontaneous and anything could fly out of my mouth. If listeners hear crinkling paper noises, that's just me breathing into a bag.

Jupiter's Girl, the radio program

I am hosting my own 1-hour radio show on Wednesday's at 7 pm. www.outoftimeradio.com. I am still considering my format; interviews, chart readings, just straight mumbo-jumbo. I am signing a contract that will be for 13 weeks. I am pretty sure I have enough stuff to fill the airwaves with. I am psyched up about the opportunity. You understand why I haven't written?

Good Friday to you.

Peace.

This is Lily. She doesn't stand still for pictures very well, so this is a rare shot. She is 3 years old and not spayed. Chip, my neutered black lab, thinks Lily is his wife and tries to mate with her. He cripples himself trying to make puppies with her every time she goes into heat. Turns his organs inside out because he can't overcome his nature. Just like a man...

Second second thoughts

What else am I doing? I will write when I feel like it. I got some nice feedback before and that is all it took to get me started again.

I think I have middle child syndrome, if there is such a thing. I am the third child of 8 children. The first 6 of us were born within 7.5 years. My twin Aries sisters were born 8 years after the sixth child; I was 13 then. So, if the middle child sandwiching process didn't make me feel like my thoughts and feelings were unimportant, the parochial education and the sisters of Mercy definitely let me know that there are always others who are more important, or more needy, or better at everything than I. It was character-building, for sure.

My thoughts and words may not matter, yet I created this blog. I may as well use it.

I walk almost everyday in my woods. I love these woods. So do Lily and Chip. Lily is an australian shephard/border collie mix. She is herding Chip in this pic. She slammed him when he came out of the brush. She gets very alert and expectant when I put on socks in the morning. Then, she really knows we are going for a walk when I go for the boots. I have to fend her off as she starts herding me as I try to put them on.

Peace out

I am having another one of those mind-changes.

After reading some fun blogs lately, I have decided that I don't want to put my thoughts in print like that. Mine wasn't that interesting, except to me; and even then, only sometimes.

I am a talker, though. It is a much better tool for communication for me, though I don't get the power to edit myself and that would be a nice feature - to be able to take back what I said sometimes. Oh yeah, that'd be great.

I was hoping to attract some like-minded - other astrologer/counselor/philosophers. Jupiter's other people? Not everyone can belong to the Saturn family, huh?.

I deleted my first attempt at a blog. I don't know that I will have another. I am pretty sure it wouldn't matter as there are many, many entertaining and thoughtful blogs out there and I have other things to do.

As there are a few of my friends that pop in from time to time and tell me about it later, I leave a note saying, "you know where to find me."
